Poison Dart Frog Dragon

Poison dart frogs are so tiny and cute, and so covered in pretty colors! Also, toad or frog-shaped dragons are an interesting idea, so I combined the two.

It was easy enough to decide to make him wyvern-shaped, with elongated toes to accommodate diaphanous membranes, but the rear end was tricky-- how to give him sufficient lift for those massive back legs? Putting a membrane between them would only hinder its ability to jump, which is half the fun of being a frog-- but the other half is being a tadpole first. I put in the tail and turned it perpendicular to how it's usually oriented to give him a bit of lift.

Very proud of how this one turned out, though it took forever to get the colors right. I wanted him to be completely unlike any real species we know of, but still obviously poison-dart-froggy. He's good at hop-gliding, though I think flapping his wings would be beyond him.
